Meet Emma! A member of Urban Strength and special friend of Urban founder, Danielle.

Two years ago, Emma received her cancer diagnosis at a very young age, with what they deemed an aggressive form. She has endured (and thrived) through the most potent forms of chemotherapy, as well undergone surgery. Emma is still on her healing journey, but has now leaned into alternative medicine as the initial path she chose is no longer conducive. Alternative medicine is not monetarily supported by OHIP and costing her $1600 to $1800 per week, which is obviously very challenging.

For the past few months, Emma has been working one-on-one with Coach Danielle to build strength not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. Her fitness journey has brought her peace, clarity, and a fierce resilience that inspires us all.

To support her ongoing journey, it felt most fitting to run a Fitness Fundraiser — a Dry Triathlon.

This workout is perfect for anyone simply wanting to get a good sweat on, currently training for HYROX or a race!

Whether you're a seasoned athlete or someone just starting out, we’ve got a version for every level: Beginner, Intermediate or  Advanced. Even if you’re not currently exercising, the Beginner Option is accessible, safe, and a powerful way to show up.

"Emma is the epitome of strength — not just in body, but in spirit. While she may feel like I’ve been guiding her, the truth is, she’s been the one teaching me. Her resilience is unmatched, and her kindness and compassion is truly rare. Emma is one of the most loving, light-filled souls I’ve ever met. She touches my heart in ways I can’t put into words. I know my community has an incredible capacity to show up big, and I hope you’ll join us in supporting someone so truly special."
